Hi, I’ve upgraded my late 2009 iMac 27” with an SSD hard drive. Because of the fan noise, I’ve installed SSD Fan Control, but I’m not sure how to set it properly, avoiding to reach high internal temperature that could damage hardware.

The app is buggy and outdated. Moreover it doesn't have UI. Do yourself a favor and use free 'Macs Fan Control' app (google for it), it supports all apple hardware on Windows and also Mac.

Excellent job !!! Good try.. I love this app. Bypassed me from many troubles.. I had many BSODs (randomly) and I had no idea what was going on.. My configuration is a system of an Apple iMac 'Core i5' 2.66 27-Inch (Late 2009), with the following identifiers: Late 2009 - MB953LL/A - iMac11,1. - This is a known toaster sytem.. I mostly operating this system under Bootcamp partition, wearing Windows 7, Ultimate - 64bit (many applications under Windows platform). I had NO FANS at all. Take a look at the temperatures I had before running MacFan: (Fan #0 (ODD) was running at 1010 rpm) << after MacFan 3000 (Fan #1 ( HDD) was running at 1095 rpm) !!! << after MacFan 4000 (Fan #2 (CPU) was running at 935 rpm.) !!! << after MacFan 2000 So, I fixed it with this wonderful app. Thanks again to the team of developers.
