Quality of Service (QoS) is a method to guarantee a bandwidth relationship between individual applications or protocols. This is very handy when you max out your connection so that you can allow for each application to have some bandwidth and so that no. https://omgest.netlify.app/power-mac-g5-manual-download.html.

Mac 101 manual. The MAC 101 is a remarkably small, super light and easy-to-use LED moving head wash light with an amazingly bright beam for such a compact luminaire. It features rapid movement and calibrated colors with a low price tag that allows for revolutionary set, stage and decorative lighting design. The MAC 101 can be hard-wired to a building electrical installation if you want to install it permanently, or a power plug that is suitable for the local power outlets can be installed on the power cable. A DMX 512 data link is required in order to control a MAC 101 via DMX. The MAC 101 has 5-pin XLR connectors for DMX data input and output. The pin-out on all connectors is pin 1 = shield, pin 2 = cold (-), and pin 3 = hot (+). All is working well. Now I'm trying to set up service-specific hard bandwidth limits (restrict Youtube and Netflix to say 500 kbps). It looks like only the Interface Priority section allows specific services to have specific WAN Max Down settings. But when I add the entry as below to the Interface Priority list, all traffic to the internet is dead (web pages, speedtest.net, anything). As soon as I remove the setting, all connections work again. - Interface: I tried LAN & WLAN as well as vlan2 (WAN port) - WAN Max Down: 500 (tried higher values as well) - WAN Max Up: 500 (ditto) - LAN Max: (also tried 500 and other values) - Service: youtube (also tried google-maps) - Priority: Manual I'm pretty sure my global QoS settings are right as the MAC priority settings are working great. Also note I am not trying to prioritize traffic; I want to throttle bandwidth always, as I get only 500GB/month, and my kids can be heavy video streamers. (Plan B: sign them up for organized sports.) See screen cap for additional settings (sorry it's a little wide). Signature line has my HW/FW details. Does anyone have any success using Interface Priority + Manual / fixed bandwidth on specific services? First post ever.. I did read the stickies and searched around a bunch for this topic first, hopefully this hasn't been answered 12 times already. Thanks in advance!

You can also make a Service Priority for Netflix and Youtube and limit the bandwidth but here it would be across the board, so this one may not be wise. |

But I haven't been able to make *any* service priority settings work without killing the WAN access for the whole house - like I unplugged the router from the WAN port. Just dead. It must be something I'm doing wrong. Can you suggest specific Service Priority settings that work? _________________ Firmware: BrainSlayer build DD-WRT v3.0-r30709 std (09/29/16) Hardware: Asus RT-AC68U, HW version A2 Kernel: Linux 4.4.23-rc1 #1445 SMP Thu Sep 29 08:38:29 CEST 2016 armv7l |

| Posted: Mon Jan 30, 2017 12:15 Post subject: | I would use the Interface Priority but on vlan2 and then choose the service for netflix and youtube and set the bandwidth manually and check that but you do know that youtube and netflix adjusts their service automatically depending on the accessed bandwidth from a random connection right? |

| Posted: Wed Feb 01, 2017 2:47 Post subject: | Thanks for the help guys. FYI I did read the wiki, and yes I understand how Youtube and Netflix automatically adjust their bandwidth usage. (That is the problem. We have a very fast connection but a limited monthly data cap, so Netflix and Youtube will eat it all up in a few days. We have adjusted our Netflix account to use lower quality and that helps somewhat, but Youtube has no global way to limit bandwidth used across multiple accounts and devices.) So I set an Interface Priority on vlan2 with a fixed bandwidth limit and a service of 'None' - and that sort of works.. it limits *all* traffic to that fixed speed. (So 'None' is acting like 'all'.) But changing the service to 'youtube' allows NO traffic beyond the router. I do have some MAC address limits specified (but on different devices than the ones I'm testing the interface priority settings with). Could they be conflicting? Is there any information published on how the service detection works? E.g. why 'None' affects all traffic, and why 'youtube' seems to halt all all traffic completely? The most I can see is the bottom of the wiki, that states services are applied bottom up, first match wins. So I tried two entries, on order of youtube then none, and none then youtube, both scenarios block all traffic. Any ideas? _________________ Firmware: BrainSlayer build DD-WRT v3.0-r30709 std (09/29/16) Hardware: Asus RT-AC68U, HW version A2 Kernel: Linux 4.4.23-rc1 #1445 SMP Thu Sep 29 08:38:29 CEST 2016 armv7l |

So try choosing YT & netflix and set the WANMax up and down and LANMax to say half of your totoal bandwidth and see how that goes. |
